We're excited to reveal the game we've been pouring our hearts into: EverDarkly: Beloved.
Beloved is a sci-fi space shooter that drops you into hostile star systems where survival depends on your reflexes, your ship, and the choices you make between fights. It's fast, it's atmospheric, and it's built to keep you on the edge of your seat.
The Gameplay
You pilot a ship through increasingly dangerous encounters — fighting enemy vessels, dodging hazards, and harvesting resources from asteroids and wreckage. Between engagements, you'll manage your ship's systems: shields, armor, energy, and weapons all need attention. Choose your upgrades wisely — what you bring into the next fight defines whether you survive it.
Combat is real-time and demands situational awareness. Your shield absorbs incoming damage but drains energy. Your armor is your last line of defense. Repair kits are scarce. Every engagement is a risk-reward calculation.
The World
The game takes place across star systems on the fringes of known space — regions where law is thin and the void is full of threats. Expect deep space stations, asteroid fields lit by distant suns, and the eerie beauty of nebulae hiding hostile forces.
The aesthetic blends the vastness of space with a gritty, lived-in feel. Your ship isn't pristine — it's a survivor, scarred and patched, just like you.
What Makes It Different
We're focused on the tension between encounters as much as the combat itself. Managing your ship's resources, deciding whether to engage or evade, choosing which systems to prioritize — these decisions create a rhythm that makes every run feel personal.
And the atmosphere matters to us. The soundtrack, the particle effects, the way light plays off asteroids and station hulls — we want every moment in the void to feel immersive.
What's Coming
Over the next several months, we'll be sharing more — gameplay footage, deep dives into ship systems and combat mechanics, and development updates. We want to bring the community along for the ride as we build this game.
If this sounds like the kind of experience you've been craving, the best thing you can do right now is wishlist us on Steam and follow us on Instagram. Every wishlist and follow makes a real difference for a small studio like ours.
"The void doesn't care. But your ship does."
More soon. The engines are warming up.
